The nintendo switch 2 came out recently, and it looks pretty neat. not sure if im going to buy one, but that new splatoon spinoff is really calling my name... From what ive seen from youtube videos and reviews, and friends who have bought it, its a really solid device, but definitly not worth the price at the moment, since theres next to nothing available day 1. The new mario kart looks extremely fun, but its definitly not worth the 80$ price tag in my opinion. maybe after donald duck's reign of terror, prices will go down? not hopeful, but maybe. I am, however, extremely exited for splatoon raiders! it looks so interesting. I love games where youre on a boat fishing and building sht so this game is right up my alley. definitly getting it day 1 if i can. From what ive gleaned, it really reminds me of "Raft". Obviously, there is a raft thing you i think live on? whatever. cool game, me want. I dont like the new game key card thing nintendo is pushing out, i think its stupid, but i can see why they did it. modern games are so extremely large in filesize that at some point it doesnt make sense to put it on the cartridge, just because its innificient to have to manage so much data. i dont know the transfer speeds of the switch 2 cartridges but its definitly not enough to warrent playing a 80gb game off of one. maybe if they were crazy u30 express rated or some bs then i would be like "ohh no the game key cards are stupid and dumb and should die forever" but from a technical standpoint i understand why. its still stupid though. They should cost less then actual cartridges. there arent even many games i play on my switch, now that i think about it. I still play a sht load of splatoon 3 because im hopelessly addicted, but outside of that, i barely play any of the other games ive bought over the years. i have a giant switch digital library, probably most of my net worth at this point, since ive been collecting titles since 2018, but at this point, i only really play splatoon and sometimes zelda. ive been playing a little bit of mario kart 8 deluxe, since i bought the dlc a few years ago, but i honestly dont see myself playing it after like this week. i hope the switch 2 has some neat, replayable titles to look forward to. TOTK and BOTW are always fun, especially totk, its so fun to just build sht and hope it works lol. They are releasing a new content update for splatoon 3 (finally)!! we're finally getting 3rd kits and some old maps back (no way urchin underpass????) which is super nice. i really like a lot of the designs of the new weapons, i love the y2k aesthetic from the emberz collection, and barazushi's line looks really neat, i love the rugged heavy-duty style. reminds me of the heavy-duty slopsuit from the grand fest big run.
